Big O Inc. Automatic Delivery Agreement

Big O Inc. agrees to deliver heating oil to the address provided on an automatic delivery basis. Fuel deliveries will be scheduled using a degree day system, unless another arrangement has been manually agreed upon.

Your fuel usage is calculated based on past consumption, weather conditions, and key factors unique to your account. To ensure the most accurate delivery schedule, it is essential that you provide precise details regarding your home or business, including square footage and any changes in energy efficiency. If your fuel usage changes for any reason—such as home renovations, the addition of alternative heat sources, or increased household occupancy—it is your responsibility to notify Big O Inc. promptly. While we make every effort to prevent runouts, failure to update your information may impact delivery timing.

Pricing & Payment

  •  The price per gallon will be determined by the current market rate at the time of delivery.

  • All customers are responsible for payment upon delivery.

  • A credit card is required to be kept on file for all automatic delivery customers and will be used for payment unless alternate arrangements have been made with Big O Inc.

  • Auto-delivery customers receive the daily COD rate. However, if a credit card on file is declined and the balance remains unpaid for more than 10 days, a surcharge of up to $0.20 per gallon may be applied.

  • If you run out of fuel, Big O Inc. will provide an emergency delivery and restart/prime your furnace at no charge, with a $50 discount applied to the total delivery cost.

Liability & Customer Responsibilities

  • Big O Inc. is responsible for delivering heating oil to the designated fill location specified by you.

  • Neither Big O Inc. nor its employees will be liable for any damages resulting from leaks, tank failure, or issues with associated piping.

  • You are required to notify Big O Inc. in writing of any alterations to your fuel storage tank or piping. Failure to do so releases Big O Inc. from any liability related to spills or leaks.

Force Majeure

(Uncontrollable Circumstances)

Big O Inc. will not be held responsible for nonperformance under this contract due to uncontrollable forces, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Acts of God

  • War or terrorism

  • Public utility failures

  • Supply shortages imposed by our suppliers

Contract Duration & Cancellation

  • This agreement remains in effect until you notify Big O Inc. in writing of your intent to cancel.

  • Written cancellation requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your requested cancellation date.

  • Big O Inc. reserves the right to refuse delivery due to an outstanding account balance.
